Rolly has had many revolving passions
in his life: music, martial arts, oriental medicine, motorcycles, computers,
dogs. When he is caught up in one of these, all else is set aside and
he devotes himself to the mastery of that art. (Most recently, God give
me strength, he has taken up bluegrass flatpicking!) Of these passions,
finger style guitar has been the longest-standing and the most often
revisited. It is his truest love, and I am delighted, at long last, to
see him commit these melodies to some permanent form. I hope you will
appreciate, as I do, the originality of his musical vision and the sheer
pleasure of listening to his playing."
