Bob Meehan has been playing harmonica for over 30 years. He spent most of his life playing blues and other American roots music, especially bluegrass. He cut his teeth in the 70's playing in clubs in New York and New Jersey with many different bands and duo's and trio's and playing all kinds of different music. Since the early 80's when he fell in love with bluegrass music, Bob has developed a unique and powerful style to adapt this music to the harmonica! What separates him from other bluegrass harmonica players is his way of playing driving rhythm and "playing to the groove." He is also fond of the more "progressive" style and has no trouble keeping up with the "hottest" most innovative string players. Bob is an innovator on the harmonica!
